Category: Liturgical / Faith Based The project is a new two-story building on the St. Francis campus next to the existing Sanctuary. On level 1, there is a parish hall, offices, nursery, reception area, meeting rooms, and kitchen. On level 2, there are large classrooms. Category: Liturgical / Faith Based Located on 32 acres in the Bridgeland Community, Houstons First Baptist Church Cypress Campus provides area residents with a new place to worship. The 98,918-square-foot campus includes a 1,300-seat worship center, education building, coffee shop, baptistery, and bookstore. The worship center features classrooms for adults, bookstore, coffee shop, and a large open entrance lobby. The education building features classrooms and learning areas for children of all ages, a game area, and a separate worship space for junior high and high school students. < Back to Projects University of Houston Health 1 Owner: University of Houston Architect: Bailey Architects Size: 188,133 sq. ft. Category: Education - Higher Ed The 167,000-square-foot, six-story research building provides critical laboratory space and animal facilities to boost the university's research capabilities. It includes innovative laboratories for patient-based research, and critical infrastructure for basic research as well as collaborative space for cross-disciplinary research. Researchers from optometry, psychology, neuroscience, natural sciences, mathematics, pharmacy, social sciences, and liberal arts will be able to collaborate more easily and readily on interdisciplinary projects that benefit the university as a whole. To support these facilities Tellepsen constructed the Biomedical District Utility Plant. The plant provides 4,500 tons of cooling capacity, 35,900 pounds per hour steam capacity, and 3,200 GPM of 140-degree heating water. The building's design includes curtain walls, 28,000-square-foot floor plates, a fitness center, shell office space, mechanical rooms, elevators, and panoramic views of the tranquil wooded landscaping. Category: Education - Higher Ed The University of Houston wanted to provide students and researchers with more space and the latest technology. To do this, they expanded their healthcare education program and the University of Houston Health Center. The 280,000-square-foot, nine-story building is used for healthcare research. Located next to the College of Optometry, the building connects on multiple levels to the Health and Biomedical Sciences Center I and Armistead. It houses a multidisciplinary program, including clinical spaces for the Integrated Care Model clinics as well as teaching and research space for the College of Pharmacy and Department of Research. It also includes classrooms, wet/dry research labs, collegial spaces, and faculty offices. To support these facilities Tellepsen constructed the Biomedical District Utility Plant. Renovations 110,000 square feet of renovations to the outpatient surgery, central sterile, nutritional services and materials management services while hospital remained fully operational. < Back to Projects Texas A&M University Aggie Park Owner: THE ASSOCIATION OF FORMER STUDENTS OF TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY Architect: Office of James Burnett Size: 22 acres Category: Parks / Open Spaces The renovation of Aggie Park, a 22-acre undeveloped parcel that for decades has been used by alumni and the student body for tailgating and other outdoor events. The new park transforms the campus's primary visitor corridor, and provides students, faculty, staff, a campus guests a central location to relax, socialize, recreate, educate, and study in a natural setting. Two event structures to support outdoor venues and a new public food and beverage pavilion were added. Grand Hall, a new multi-purpose building, integral with the park, that will be used as an expanded venue for Ring Day, and provide much-needed office and entertainment space for The Association of Former Students and The 12th Man Foundation. Category: Warehouse Tellepsen provided building framing, exterior skin, and interior construction for the company's Regional Corporate Office Building. The project also consisted of interior construction on a 10 acre warehouse, truck maintenance facility, guard house, fueling station and pump house. The Branch Office was 53,000 square feet; the Warehouse was 475,000 square feet; the Truck Maintenance Garage was 40,000 square feet; the Guard House was 500 square feet, and the Pump House was 600 square feet for a total of 569,000 square feet.
