The Trotter Family YMCA has been serving its community for over 40 years. It had been renovated several times during that period and had become broken organizationally into many small parts. Along with the facelift of its exterior main entrance, the program included a fully renovated lobby and welcome center, as well as the addition of a new two -tory building, family pool, and water park. The renovation included classrooms, child care and a fitness room. The addition enlarges the fitness area and adds exercise rooms. These new and updated facilities provide the YMCA community with more than 17,000 square feet of fitness area and outdoor space for the entire family. This extensive renovation and addition redefined the facility's role programmatically and architecturally within the community.
