Located in the Third Ward on approximately 4.2 acres, the project includes the new construction of a 60,000-square-foot facility consisting of a 1.5 and 2-story structure. The project includes demolition, abatement, and renovation within the existing facility. The new facility includes classrooms, office space, commons space, library, and studio space. In addition, the project scope includes the abandonment and relocation of existing street and utility infrastructure elements along sections of Hadley Street and Brailsfort Street. Yellowstone Academy is located in the historic Douglass Elementary School Building (a former HISD Facility). This landmark campus is one of the oldest continuously operating school buildings in the City of Houston.
