The San Jacinto College North Campus Edwin E. Lehr Library was originally constructed in 1993. The building required renovations to bring it up to current code and ADA standards, as well as incorporate a new Learning Commons model. The project included approximately 40,000 square feet of new construction and renovations to repair subsidence issues with the aging building. The result is a more open and functional design with enhanced quiet and collaborative areas for students to study and collaborate together in a comfortable environment with minimal distractions. The building now has accessible paths from the building and updated landscaping at the entrances.
