Maurice L. Wolfe Elementary, located in Katy Independent School District, is a small school with a proud sense of its own history and traditions. As part of Katy ISDs 2010 Bond Program, the elementary school needed an upgrade to better accommodate the schools 500 students with room for growth. The project included the demolition and rebuild of the 96,000-square-foot elementary school for a more functional and up-to-date campus. The previous design was deteriorating with stability issues and leaking roofs. The new design featured updated, larger classrooms, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, administrative offices, break rooms, a library, and a computer lab. The project also included the replacement of driveways, employee and guest parking, the building exterior, and all associated infrastructure. Tellepsen completed the rebuild while the campus was occupied. The result was a more interactive and up-to-date campus for an enhanced learning environment.
