The project included conversion of an existing L2 shell space into a 2,000 square foot Hybrid Operating Room. Due to the fact that this shell space is behind the hospitals red-line, all materials and equipment were brought in from a perimeter window removed for access in an effort to reduce infection control risk. All of the above work was coordinated and communicated between construction and key hospital staff daily with a considerable portion performed outside normal business hours during nights and weekends. In order to maintain constant hospital operations, temporary barriers, infectious prevention barriers, negative air machines and directional signage were utilized to isolate construction from clinic areas.
