Through collaboration with Texas Medical Center institutions, Menninger gives mental health patients access to the latest research, interventions, and medical specialty care. Treatment priorities for the 172,000-square-foot clinic include substance abuse and addictions, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, and trauma and neuropsychiatric disorders. The campus programs include adolescent treatment, Compass Program for young adults, comprehensive psychiatric assessment and stabilization, Hope Program for adults and Professionals in Crisis Program. Situated on a lush 50-acre campus, the clinic includes a 144-bed specialty psychiatric hospital, brain and behavior research center, administrative buildings, educational facilities, wellness center, and meditation area. The lush 50-acre Epicenter advances Houston as a center of excellence in mental health treatment, education, and research, attracting leading mental health clinical specialists and researchers. Through a collaboration with Texas Medical Center institutions, The Menninger gives mental health patients access to the latest research, interventions, and medical specialty care. Treatment priorities for the 172,000 square-foot clinic include substance abuse and addictions, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, and trauma and neuropsychiatric disorders. Phase II of The Menninger Clinic includes the Research Training and Outpatient Offices building. The 70,000 square-foot, three-story building includes office space, conference rooms, classrooms, exam rooms, dining hall, theater, and research labs. It also houses Baylor College of Medicines Psychiatric and Mood Disorder Clinic with additional teaching space. Adjacent to the building is a 128,000 square-foot, four-story parking garage that includes 396 parking spaces for the campus. Additionally, the project includes a detention pond and all associated site work. This project received the Houston Business Journal Landmark Award and the AGC's APEX Award for Project Excellence. Category: Civic / Government The 28,000 square-foot Central Plant is strategically located in downtown Houston between two Harris County and one State of Texas jail. The new facility supplements the existing plant which is at capacity and serves future growth as well as providing support to current buildings. The project also includes the construction of hot water and chilled water distribution piping installed approximately 30 feet under the street level to serve the three adjacent jail facilities. The plant houses six 1,550-ton water-cooled centrifugal chillers, chilled water, and condenser water vertical in-line pumps, chemical treatment equipment, and a triplex water softener. A control room with a view of the chiller room area is located on the ground level. A second level houses the main switchgear, two 26.8 million Btuh and one 5 million Btuh fire tube boilers, three vertical in-line hot water pumps, expansion tanks, and a side stream filter. Category: Office / Corporate (Reposition) The 5 Post Oak project includes the re-positioning of a prominent high-rise in the Galleria area. The scope involves building envelope work, including removing much of the stone facade on the first and second levels and replacing it with curtainwall. On the interior, the work includes renovations to Levels 1 and 2 lobbies, including opening the existing structure for a new monumental staircase, new interior storefront systems, new finishes throughout a new coffee bar/sitting area, and renovations to the sky bridge.
