United Way Center for Philanthropy & Volunteerism

Administrative and conference center (90,000 SF) including 25,000 SF of meeting space, and adjacent parking structure for 450 cars

Boy Scouts Sam Houston Area Council Headquarters

2-story (56,000 SF) poured in place office building with one-level underground parking (28,000 SF) and extensive site work.  The building houses a scout shop, conference center with seating for 190, a print shop, offices and conference rooms.  The building has a stone and plaster exterior with metal roof.  The two-story lobby features rough sawn wood trusses and a wood deck ceiling for a “rustic lodge” effect.  Tellepsen performed extensive site work installing a large “Eagle Scout Wall” honoring all the Eagle Scouts in the area and a landscaped courtyard with pond and rustic bench seating.

FMC Additions & Renovations

Office space (2,500 SF), demolition work, expansion of assembly and testing operations, adding a 30’ deep and 30’ diameter test well, adding industrial warehouse building addition (12,000 SF) to house well and two 100 ton overhead cranes, and construction of a new office building (40,000 SF).  Additional surface parking was added.

Renovation of an office/warehouse building (56,000 SF) including moving structures and equipment into an existing building and yard area, adding a mezzanine level and remodel of a two-story office building

B.G. Inspection Services

Tilt-wall office and shop expansion (11,000 SF) to existing building.  Project includes a mezzanine storage area and 15,000 SF concrete parking lot.

Research campus (111,000 SF) including office space, research facilities, lecture hall, conference and meeting rooms, and computer center.

Sealy Building Restoration

The project involved complete historic restoration of the 5-story 150+ year old office building in The Strand District of Galveston, Texas.  The project requiring the duplication of the original interior details of the building.  Special plaster molding details were duplicated by our own plasterers and new wood trim molding had to be run to match the original moldings.  This was a very demanding and challenging project.  All work was performed under auspices of Texas Historical Society.  The building was leased for a combination of retail and general office uses.
