Lakewood Church |

Renovations to
the existing Compaq Center to provide a 16,000-seat sanctuary
and classrooms. The sanctuary includes all the technology for a
functional broadcast facility with integrated systems for
amplified sound, production lighting, dimmer system, I-mag
screens and time control. A 200,000 SF 5-story building was
constructed adjacent to the sanctuary with areas for classrooms,
assembly rooms and office spaces.
A new
central plant was constructed on the roof with new boilers,
chillers, cooling towers and electrical transformers provide
utility service separate from the rest of the Greenway Plaza
development. New electrical service was routed from Timmons
Street to the new central plant.

The restoration included refinishing/repairs to the original pews, stained glass panels, solid oak flooring, masonry, and interiors.
