"Do It Right, or Don't Do It."
Tellepsen's Quality Control/Quality Assurance program revolves around the aggressive pursuit of zero defects to protect the building owner from liability. We don't define quality by our client's standards or by our peers. We rely on the knowledge of correct procedures and specifications gained over nearly a century of lessons learned in almost every sector imaginable.
Project peer reviews by the company's seven-member quality control department and third-party experts identify hundreds of issues in drawings and specifications every year — issues we identify and prevent from arising.
Water Infiltration: A Matter of Integrity
To ensure building envelope integrity, Tellepsen engages third-party consultants to review drawings and specs during the pre-construction phase to identify risks of water infiltration, since leaks and escaping vapors can cause air-borne health risks. Additionally, in the lab and in the field, high-pressure water tests are conducted over long durations to identify leaks and ensure proper water-proofing.
Scale Models Pass the Test
At the start of construction on every project, a unique practice in the industry occurs at Tellepsen. Our team constructs and tests non-aesthetic mockups, which provide an exact replica of the fundamental structure that must be approved by the client before the project can proceed. Other companies create mockups for aesthetics, but not for testing. Our industry-leading step-above-and-beyond saves clients from unwanted, unplanned events that interfere with their activities and cost them money later.
Hands-On Construction Monitoring
What we don't build at Tellepsen are ivory towers. Our project executives, project managers and field superintendents live and work front and center, keeping their eyes on every detail of the job. Backing them are top-tier subcontractors, vetted by a highly critical selection process, as well as our estimating, scheduling, quality, risk management and safety departments, which stay involved in every step of the job to ensure original expectations and goals are achieved. |
