Tellepsen honored with ASA Project of the Year

American Subcontractors Association grants Tellepsen 2005 Project of the Year over $15 Million award for Lakewood Church

HOUSTON (February 21, 2006) – Tellepsen Builders has once again been recognized for excellence in construction with the Project of the Year over $15 Million award at the recent American Subcontractors Association (ASA) awards banquet.

ASA-Houston Chapter comprises subcontractors and suppliers throughout the construction industry who are asked to nominate individuals and/or firms in several categories. ASA Excellence in Construction Awards are presented to individuals and companies that run well-managed projects and take the team approach to the building of a project.

Tellepsen was nominated in several categories this year including General Contractor of the Year and Lakewood Church for Project of the Year over $15 Million. Ed Reede was nominated for Project Manager of the Year and Robert Scardino for Superintendent of the Year.

Tellepsen awarded ASA Project of the Year over $15 million

In 2005, Tellepsen converted the existing 400,000 square foot Compaq Center, former home of the Houston Rockets and Comets, and constructed an additional 200,000 square feet to complete the Lakewood Church Central Campus location. The $95 million renovation was the largest and most complex church project completed by Tellepsen Builders in their 96-year history.
