Houston Celebrates Groundbreaking of New Tellepsen Family YMCA
HOUSTON (January 12, 2009) – Houston Mayor Bill White welcomed friends of the YMCA and Tellepsen as they broke ground on the Tellepsen Family YMCA in downtown Houston on January 9th. The new 120,000 sq. ft. facility, scheduled for completion in 2010, will replace the 67-year old existing building a block away and will feature additional exercise rooms, a chapel, a woman’s wellness center, daycare area and more.
